HEUKING advises Eternal Sun on the acquisition of key business operations of WAVELABS Solar Metrology Systems GmbH

Advised by a HEUKING team led by the Dusseldorf based Corporate/M&A Partner Dr. Martin Imhof, Eternal Sun has acquired the key assets of the German company WAVELABS Solar Metrology Systems GmbH. The acquisition was structured as an asset deal resulting in a newly founded subsidiary, WAVELABS Eternal Sun GmbH, based in Leipzig.

Eternal Sun, headquartered in The Hague, The Netherlands, is a specialist in solar module testing and characterization solutions. It is a portfolio company of Bolster Investment Partners which holds the majority of the stakes in Eternal Sun.

WAVELABS is recognized globally for its cutting-edge LED-based solar simulators for solar cell measurement. It complements Eternal Sun’s expertise in testing systems for solar modules. The combined product portfolio represents an unparalleled industry offering as a full-spectrum provider of solar testing technology – from research and development to mass production – serving customers worldwide.

WAVELABS Eternal Sun GmbH will continue operations at the Leipzig site. The WAVELABS and Eternal Sun brands will remain independent and visible in the market.
