ZeitLager, advised by Heuking, sells self-storage centers to Shurgard

A team led by Dr. Frank Metz, Partner at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek’s Munich office, advised the shareholders of Munich-based ZeitLager Self Storage GmbH on the sale of the corporate group including four self-storage centers to Shurgard Self Storage SA. The sales price was in excess of EUR 33 million.
 
Family-owned ZeitLager was founded in 2004. More than 20,000 customers have already taken advantage of the storage facilities at the four ZeitLager sites throughout Munich and the surrounding area.
 
Shurgard operates 240 self-storage centers and offers some 1.2 million net rentable square meters in seven countries, the Netherlands, France, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, and Denmark. Shurgard’s European network currently serves 160,000 customers and employs about 700 people.
