HEUKING advises Harrier on the acquisition of Halstan Deutschland
A HEUKING team led by Dr. Alexander Schott advised Harrier Group on the acquisition of Halstan Deutschland GmbH, the German print-related business of Halstan Group. The acquisition strengthens Harrier's European footprint and expands its capabilities in specialist publishing sectors. The transaction forms part of Harrier's broader acquisition of Halstan's print-related operations in UK and in Germany, led overall by UK law firm Michelmores. HEUKING's role included advising on the due diligence process in Germany, as well as drafting and negotiating the related German transaction documents.
Harrier Group is headquartered in Newton Abbot, UK, and is part of the US-headquartered District Photo family of companies. The group specialises in print-on-demand and photo gift fulfilment and, as part of the District Photo Harrier Group, ranks among the world's largest print-on-demand specialists, operating an international production and distribution network.
Halstan was founded in 1919 and is the UK's leading specialist in sheet music production, alongside books and premium notebooks.
