HEUKING advises DATAGROUP SE on its first cross-border acquisition

Stuttgart-based HEUKING partners Benedikt Raisch and Dr. Rainer Herschlein, together with their team, provided legal counsel to DATAGROUP SE on its first acquisition outside Germany. The transaction centers on the acquisition of Valid Managed Services B.V., an Eindhoven-based provider specializing in IT outsourcing.

DATAGROUP SE (headquartered in Pliezhausen) has agreed to acquire all shares in Valid Managed Services B.V. The target company is part of the Valid Group and has been active in the Dutch market since 1999. With a team of approximately 180 employees, it generates annual revenue of approximately EUR 35 million. Its service offering includes, in particular, IT operations services and consulting in the areas of Modern Workplace, infrastructure, networks, and security & compliance. Its customer base consists primarily of midsize and larger organizations.

With this acquisition, DATAGROUP SE is making a strategic move: Following more than 30 successfully completed acquisitions in the German market, the company is now taking its first step beyond national borders. The transaction is consistent with its stated objective of building a European IT services group. As part of the integration, the company plans to further develop its existing managed services portfolio and expand its international customer relationships.

DATAGROUP SE has been a longstanding client of Dr. Herschlein and Benedikt Raisch, who have supported the company on numerous projects in recent years.
