Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advises United Navigation on sale to a U.K. financial investor – Project Compass-Frontrunner

With a team led by Dr. Günther M. Bredow, Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advised United Navigation GmbH on the sale of all shares and the injection of fresh capital. The shares in United Navigation GmbH were acquired by a U.K. financial investor's acquisition company. In addition to the payment of the acquisition price to existing shareholders associated with MAIRDUMONT, the buyer will inject fresh capital into United Navigation GmbH in order to further promote the company's strategic development.

United Navigation GmbH is headquartered at Ostfildern near Stuttgart. With the two premium brands Falk und Becker, it is a specialist in the mobile navigation sector and serves the three business segments of portable navigation for private customers, complete fleet-management systems for companies and integrated navigation solutions for the automotive industry. United Navigation GmbH was formed as part of a management buyout from a subsidiary, established in 2003, of the MAIRDUMONT group (Falk, Marco Polo), the market-leading publisher of tourist-related information in Germany and Europe. The close collaboration between United Navigation GmbH and MAIRDUMONT publishing group is continuing to date.

Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek legally advised United Navigation GmbH comprehensively on the sale and investment process and on negotiating and concluding the acquisition documentation.
