proLogistik Group Acquires Majority Stake in AIS alfaplan GmbH

With a team led by M&A attorneys Dr. Mathias Schröder, Fabian Becker and Peter Schäffler, Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advised proLogistik Group on the acquisition of a majority stake in AIS alfaplan GmbH.

The proLogistik Group is the market leader for ERP-independent warehouse management systems in the DACH region and consists of eight companies in Germany and Switzerland that support their customers with a versatile range of warehouse management software and computers and services developed specifically for the industry.

AIS alfaplan GmbH specializes in IT solutions for route planning and optimization, telematics with digital order management, yard management and route optimization. For example, intelligent algorithms of the route planning system include all restrictions to which, for example, logistics service providers and their customers are subject in the calculation of target specifications for routes. In addition, telematics provides reliable real-time data from the road. Using a scanner, tablet or smartphone, both the company's own fleet and third-party vehicles can be integrated into the overall workflow.

By acquiring a majority stake in AIS alfaplan GmbH, the proLogistik Group now has another partner on board to complement its WMS expertise in the area of transportation in order to further expand the digital transformation of the supply chain.
