Qualifications/Current topics

Roman Ettl-Steger advises family offices, entrepreneurs, and financial investors on majority and minority investments in the private capital sector, including the corporate structuring of the relevant investment vehicles.

In addition to traditional M&A and private equity transactions, his focus is particularly on advising on buy-and-build and roll-up strategies: from the legal structuring of the acquisition platform, through the negotiation and documentation of add-on transactions, to the governance structure of growing corporate groups. Together with clients, he develops scalable, process-oriented solutions for structured serial acquisitions.

In addition, he regularly advises on succession transactions (ETA), joint venture arrangements, and, in particular, employee stock ownership plans. In the venture capital sector, he advises investors on their investments through all financing phases up to the exit.
