The future belongs to Berlin: Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advises Hertha BSC on short-time work, quarantine, and head coach change

Lawyer Thomas E. Herrich, Member of the Execvutive Board and In-house Counsel at Hertha BSC, and his team have mastered various challenges during the COVID-19 crisis. Hertha BSC was advised by a team led by Dr. Johan-Michel Menke and Dr. Thomas Schulz, Partner at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, Hamburg.

Supported by Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, Hertha BSC was able to use the pandemic-related interruption of the season for a realignment of its sports activities. At the same time, the capital city team secured jobs through short-time work and salary waivers. As a result, the Berliners also strengthened their position in the quarantine-related break from soccer training with this idea of solidarity. Especially with the appointment of the new head coach Labbadia as successor of Jürgen Klinsmann, the capital city team sends a positive signal to society: The Bundesliga carousel will continue to turn.
