EU General Data Protection Regulation – Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek helps to act

As of March 14, 2017, there are 467 days left for companies to prepare for the entry into force of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). On May 25, 2018, the Regulation will be applicable and replace existing German data protection law. Time and personnel required to prepare for the GDPR are often underestimated within companies. The GDPR affects all companies collecting, processing and using personal data, such as customer or employee data, whether as data controller or processor.

The "Data Protection" task force of the business law firm of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek will support companies in preparing for the GDPR, in order to be compliant with the Regulation in May 2018. In particular, the information and documentation duties will be much more extensive as of next year compared to the current legal situation. Infringements of the GDPR will also be punished with greatly increased fines.

If you are interested in an individual consultation or want to receive additional information or the implementation of the GDPR in your company, please do not hesitate to contact us.
