On May 24, 2012, the Ingolstadt City Council approved the development plan for the former foundry premises, which forms the basis for the planning and construction by ALPINE BAU Deutschland AG of the new hotel and conference center in Ingolstadt.

A real estate complex comprising a conference center, adjoining rooms and corresponding areas, restaurant and catering premises, hotel, AUDI Academy and university with an extensive underground parking garage will be developed on the inner-city premises of the former foundry on the border of the Danube river.

Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advised ALPINE BAU Deutschland AG on planning and application to the City of Ingolstadt for the construction of the hotel and conference center of the 4-star and 4-star Superior category according to the classification of the German Hotel and Restaurant Association DEHOGA. Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek also advised ALPINE BAU Deutschland AG in the negotiations with the future hotel operator, Steigenberger Group and AUDI AG, which will be concluded shortly. Construction work is slated to begin in March 2013.

ALPINE BAU Deutschland AG expects construction to last a good 12 months. The hotel, which is owned by a project company of ALPINE BAU Deutschland AG, is then to be sold to an investor. The relevant contract negotiations are currently also being held.
