Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advises private equity investor LEO II. on the acquisition of Stora Enso Timber Deutschland GmbH

Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advised financial investor LEO II. Fonds, which was advised by DUBAG Group, on the acquisition of former Stora Enso Timber Deutschland GmbH (SETD) from internationally operating Stora Enso group.
 
SETD employs some 100 people at its Pfarrkirchen site and processes and sells solid structural timber and related timber construction products to German and international customers, primarily in the construction industry.
 
The acquisition was made as part of a structured sales process in which the buyer prevailed. The transaction was closed on March 1, 2020.
 
Munich-based DUBAG Group advises and manages private equity funds, focusing on the acquisition and active development of companies in special situations. DUBAG Group is currently investing funds from LEO II. Fonds, which was successfully launched with institutional investors in September 2019.
 
With a team led by Dr. Andreas Lenz, Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek comprehensively advised the buyer in connection with legal structuring, due diligence, as well as the negotiation and conclusion of the acquisition contract and other related contracts.
