Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek elevates three lawyers from its own ranks to Salaried Partnership

Effective September 1, 2023, Heuking will be expanding its salaried partnership by welcoming three Senior Associates: Cécile Corbet from the Frankfurt office, Sandra Janberg from the Düsseldorf office, and Shimon Merkel from the Berlin office.

Cécile Corbet, LL.M. (37) joined Heuking in 2017. As a member of the IP, Media & Technology practice group, she focuses on trademark law, design & copyright law, and competition law. A native speaker, she is also a valuable asset to the firm’s French Desk.

Sandra Janberg (33) is a member of the Real Estate & Construction and Public Sector & Public Procurement practice groups. Having joined the firm as a trainee lawyer in 2016, she has been practicing as a lawyer since 2017. With an emphasis on public construction law, administrative law, construction planning and environmental law, she also supports transactions in public law.

Shimon Merkel, LL.M. (33) embarked on his journey at Heuking as a research associate in 2015 and is practicing as a lawyer since 2019. He is a member of the Real Estate & Construction, Private Equity/Venture Capital, and Corporate practice groups. He specializes in advising on matters relating to the real estate industry, particularly focusing on (cross-border) transactions, acquisition financing and property management as well as on all aspects of venture capital investments.
