LabourLouis: HEUKING elevates employment law services with AI innovation
HEUKING is teaming up with legal tech company JUNE to launch the pilot phase of the LabourLouis tool with selected clients. The law firm will begin using the AI-powered case management and automation platform to handle employment law disputes more efficiently, particularly for large corporations and insolvency administrators. The AI and digitalization tool LabourLouis enables automated processing of both out-of-court procedures, such as works council hearings, and in-court matters, such as defending unfair dismissal claims.
When the number of employment-related measures increases, managing them becomes increasingly complex, both substantively and administratively. HEUKING is now taking a new approach with LabourLouis to deliver greater efficiency and reduce costs for clients. Key workflows are fully automated and digitalized, and all relevant data is consolidated in one centralized platform. “We will be able to map and manage the entire process – from initiating a works council hearing to filing a complaint and closing the case – on a single platform,” said Dr. Johan-Michel Menke, Partner at HEUKING’s Hamburg office and Certified Specialist Lawyer in Employment Law. “Clients will have real-time access to all essential information, improving collaboration and eliminating the need for email-based communication.”
As a modular platform, JUNE not only provides the technical foundation for LabourLouis but is also ideally suited to supporting HEUKING’s evolving business model. “JUNE enables law firms to deliver their own legal products on the right technological infrastructure,” said Björn Frommer, co-founder and CEO of JUNE. “Our focus is on data and structure, which are essential for the full integration of AI. They form the basis for using automation to enhance legal value creation at critical stages of the process.” JUNE positions itself as the AI-powered backbone of modern legal services, as demonstrated in its recent collaboration with the legal department of a major airline (Vom Fax zur KI: Lufthansas Weg zur digitalen Klagebearbeitung (Vom Fax zur KI: Lufthansas Weg zur digitalen Klagebearbeitung | juve.de).
Menke added: “What impressed me most is the platform’s ability to process large volumes of data directly through an interface and to generate pleadings instantly. Deadlines and appointments are automatically captured and entered into digital calendars. Clients receive daily case updates and can generate success analyses. All of this contributes to a more efficient legal workflow.”
Of course, the quality of legal services remains our highest priority. Advanced technologies like JUNE are key enablers for developing tools such as LabourLouis that offer tangible benefits for both law firms and their clients. “HEUKING leverages digital technologies to deliver innovative and efficient legal solutions,” said Dr. Philip Kempermann, Managing Partner at HEUKING. “Legal tech reduces manual effort in standardized processes, allowing us to focus more on strategic matters and to work and communicate more effectively.”
