Heuking lawyers contribute Swiss part of Europe-wide ECSP report
Dr. Michael Alberts, Heuking Partner and member of the European Legal Working Group of the European Council of Shopping Places (ECSP), jointly with Marcel Hostettler, Head of Heuking’s Zurich office, and Dr. Anna Wehrmüller, contributed the Swiss part of the current report on lease contract terms for shopping centers across Europe.
Taking into account both legal requirements and standard industry practice in 36 countries, ECSP Legal Working Group’s report provides a comprehensive overview for retail professionals, policymakers, and government authorities to compare approaches in each market and how they differ between countries.
ECSP is considered the leading European association of the shopping center industry. Its members are a catalyst for sustainable urban regeneration. ECSP’s Legal Working Group aims to identify, analyze, and share information on the main legal issues affecting the retail real estate industry and promotes the relevant exchange. Including Alberts, who is also listed as a foreign lawyer at Zurich Superior Court, the Legal Working Group consists of thirteen international real estate lawyers, of which five are corporate counsel.
