Heuking advises on first Scale IPO in 2022

With a team led by Dr. Thorsten Kuthe and Christopher Görtz, Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek legally advised EV Digital Invest AG, the operator of online real estate investment platform “Engel & Völkers Digital Invest,” and Hauck Aufhäuser Investment Banking, which acted as Sole Global Coordinatoor and Sole Bookrunner, as transaction counsel on the IPO of EV Digital Invest AG in the Scale segment of Frankfurt Stock Exchange. This is the first IPO of an operating company in Germany in 2022.

All 450,000 new shares offered from the capital increase were fully placed, with the offering price set in the middle of the price range at EUR 14.00 per new share. Trading in Frankfurt Stock Exchange’s Scale Segment commenced on May 3, 2022. The company intends to use the net proceeds from the IPO to finance its dynamic growth. 

Engel & Völkers Digital Invest is operating in real estate financing, acting as an intermediary between real estate companies that are seeking capital and private investors providing the capital to finance real estate companies’ projects via Engel & Völkers Digital Invest’s online investment platform. Well established and featuring a strong track record, the company has financed 64 real estate projects with a volume of some EUR 152 million since its inception in 2017. 32 of those projects have already been repaid – five of them earlier than scheduled. The company generated total revenue of about EUR 4.5 million in fiscal 2021.
